Dovilė Vilūnaitė is a Lithuanian contemporary painter whose artistic practice explores the intersection between figurative and abstract expression. Born in Molėtai, Lithuania, she began creating art in early childhood and received her first formal artistic education at the Molėtai School of Arts, where she developed a strong foundation in drawing and painting.

After graduating from high school, she moved abroad while continuing to pursue her artistic career. She is currently studying at the Milan Art Institute, where she continues to expand her knowledge of contemporary painting, composition, and mixed media practices.

Working primarily in oil, Vilūnaitė creates expressive portraits and animal subjects that transcend representation to explore emotion, symbolism, and the relationship between humanity and nature. Her paintings are distinguished by gestural brushwork, layered textures, and a vibrant dialogue between abstraction and recognizable forms.

Alongside her oil painting practice, she is increasingly exploring mixed media techniques, embracing experimentation as an essential part of her creative process. Texture, intuition, and emotional authenticity remain central elements of her work, resulting in paintings that invite multiple interpretations while maintaining a strong visual presence.

Her works are held in private collections across Canada, the United States (Pennsylvania), Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Lithuania, and South Africa, reflecting the international reach of her artistic practice.

Through her paintings, Dovilė Vilūnaitė seeks to create spaces for reflection, where emotion, memory, and imagination converge. Rather than offering definitive narratives, her work encourages viewers to engage in a personal dialogue with each composition, discovering meanings shaped by their own experiences.
